Cableways

Foundations

The Swiss Cableway Association provides its members with a foundation for individual protection concepts. The measures are firmly based on the Protection concept of public transport. The "Foundation for the protection concept for the cable cars Covid-19" has the role of a recommended course of action. Based on this, the cableway companies can draw up their own concepts, if necessary with company-specific additions. The responsibility for the protective measures and their implementation lies with the Torrent cable cars and the Gemmi cable cars.

Masks are compulsory from 6th of July from the age of 12 on for both mountain cableways and LLB buses. The implementation by Torrent cableways and the LLB will follow on 4th of July. Protective masks are available at the cable car valley station or at the tourism office at a price of CHF 0.50.
